QUICK HIT: The No. 3 SCAD Savannah women's tennis team defeated Ave Maria in straight sets at home Saturday afternoon winning 9-0.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 6-3 on the season while Ave Maria falls to 0-4.
LOW ON NUMBERS: The Ave Maria team totaled four student-athletes and were not able to play number three doubles, number five singles and number six singles.
DOUBLES: In doubles action the number one team of
Camille Gbaguidi and
Paige Murdock and the number two team of
Johanna Weber and
Karina Rovira defeated their opponents 8-0 to take a 3-0 lead into singles.
SINGLES ACTION: Gbaguidi won 6-1, 6-1 at number one singles while Murdock defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-1 at number two singles. Rovira and Weber won 6-1, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-0 at the numbers three and four singles positons, respectively.
