Mobile, Alabama – The fourth-seed SCAD women's tennis team lost 5-0 to fifth-seed Xavier in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championships at the Mobile Tennis Center Wednesday afternoon.
The Bees fell behind 3-0 early as Xavier swept all three doubles matches.
SCAD started to battle back in the singles matches as
Camille Gbaguidi,
Carolina Viteri, and
Karina Rovira all won the first set of their respective match. However, Xavier picked up wins at No. 2 and No. 6 singles to clinch the win.
SCAD concludes their season with a 13-5 record and The Sun Conference regular season and tournament champions.
