Savannah, Ga. – The SCAD swim team won big Saturday as they defeated St. Andrews 161-33 and Life 158-43 at the Chatham County Aquatic Center.

The Bees got off to a fast start winning the first three events of the meet.  Julie Woody, Heather Partlow, Cadie Crow, and Heather Dundey teamed up for a first place finish in the 200 medley relay touching with a time of 1:52.62.  Mady Sieracki followed that by swimming a 19:12.22 in the 1650 free to earn first.

SCAD saw a 1-2-3 sweep in the 200 free as Woody took first in 2:00.03, Dundey finished second in 2:05.46, and Ana Torres-Rivera was third in 2:06.50.  In the 100 breast Partlow finished first in 1:10.34 and Ally Ragland was second in 1:12.90.

Haley Thompson took top honors in the 50 free touching in 25.28, while teammate Shannon Brouk was second with a time of 25.82.

The Bees also saw 1-2 finishes in both the 500 free and the 100 butterfly. In the 500 free, Caroline Lepesant took first touching in 5:16.61, while Crow finished second touching in 5:41.47.  Partlow edged out Rebecca Justus in the 100 butterfly to earn top honors.

The Bees return to the water February 11-14 when they travel to Charlotte, N.C. to take part in the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship.
