Statesboro, Ga. – The SCAD swim team posted 15 top five finishes in a dual meet against College of Charleston and Georgia Southern Saturday afternoon the RAC Aquatics Center.  Georgia Southern defeated SCAD 181-94, while College of Charleston won its match 217-73 over the Bees.

Caroline Lepesant earned the lone win for the Bees in the 1,000 free touching with a time of 10:25.92. She followed that up with a fourth place finish in the 200 breast swimming 2:33.49.

The Bees placed three swimmers in the top five in the 100 Breast. Julie Woody edged out Cadie Crow to finish third with a time of 1:00.23.  Heather Dundey finished fifth touching the wall in 1:01.19.

Woody also picked up a third place finish in the 50 free swimming 24.73 and a fifth place finish in the 100 free touching at 54.75.

In the 400 IM, Rebecca Justus finished in second place touching at 4:44.70, while Lepesant and Mady Sieracki finished fourth and sixth, respectively. 

In the final event of the meet Shannon Cummings, Dundey, Heather Partlow, and Woody teamed up for a second place finish in the 200 free relay touching in 1:40.71.  Teammates Emma McKinley, Lepesant, Justus, and Crow finished fourth in the event with a time of 1:44.97

The Bees will return to action next Saturday, January 24, when they face St. Andrews University at the Chatham County Aquatic Center.
