The Men's Lacrosse Team lost a tough contest in Athens, Tennessee, where the Bees could not make up a 2 goal deficit against the scrappy Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan College. The match was close at the end of every quarter:  0-1 after the first quarter, 2-4 at the half, 4-6 after the third quarter, and finally 5-7 at the game's conclusion.
Â
The Bees just could not get the extra two goals needed to carry the day.Â
Andrew Gualtieri provided 2 of the 5 scores, while
Cody Sienkiewicz,
Shawn Horsey, and
Matt Dean furnished the three others, courtesy of assists by
Evan Ruszala,
Tucker Hotte, and
Justin McGinnis.Â
Â
It was a very competitive match, with shots being close to even, ground balls in favor of the Bees at 35-33, and the saves by SCAD's goalie
Billy Brennan and the Bulldogs' goalie Oscar Cifuentes being only 1 apart (9-10, respectively). It could have been anyone's game to win, but the Bees came up a little short.
