The Lady Bees showed their stuff today in Miami Gardens. They got on a roll as all three doubles teams won their matches. No. 1
Theresa Schmaus and
Maja Plavsic won at 8-6.Â
Maria Barragan and
Daniella Arcila won easily at No. 2 by a score of 8-1. Icing on the cake was when
Carolina Viteri and
Ana Dominguez battled at No. 3 to win 8-6.
Â
Plavsic played No. 1 singles today and, although battling hard, was unable to overcome the play of Tetiana Kovalska and lost in straight sets 0-6 and 3-6. Schmaus at No. 2 was able to get the ladies back on track by winning 6-2 and 3-0 (retired). Viteri at No. 3 kept the momentum going by winning 6-2, 6-2. Barragan was very tough. She won the first set 6-1 and her opponent retired in the second set. Arcila and Salvetti won their matches 8-3 and 8-3.
Â
It was an especially good day for the Lady Bees today, after losing two days ago to Georgia Gwinnett so badly. This could be the start of a roll for the ladies.

The Lady Bees will continue their spring break road trip with Ave Marie on Thursday.
