The Bluegrass Mountain Conference (BGMC) selected SCAD men's swimmer, Joel Ax, as its "Swimmer of the Week."  The freshman swimmer took part this past weekend in the meet held at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) in Melbourne, Florida.  Ax took first place honors in the 1000 Yd. Freestyle (9:33.97), 50 Yd. Freestyle (21.58), and the 500 Yd. Freestyle (4.35.78).  Those were the only individual events in which he competed and he won them all. 
 
Ax has made an immediate impact since competing for the Bees in the last four swim meets.  Overall, Ax has taken part in 9 individual events  and he has won 6 of them.
