The SCAD Men's Lacrosse team has played their way to the finals of the SELC Championship.  Back on 2/15 the Bees were 2-0 and hosted St. Andrews University at the SCAD Sports Complex.  At the end of the 3^rd period the Bees led the Knights by a score of 12-10.  But the Bees could not hold the lead and went into overtime.  SCAD ended up losing their first match by a score of 14-13.   But that was then.
 
Today's match was sweet revenge for the Bees.  It was once again a very close match, but the results were much more satisfying and held much more importance.  The Bees are now one victory away from receiving an automatic invitation to the MCLA National Championship to be held in Greenville, S.C. beginning 5/13.  The final score was 10-9 in favor of SCAD.

Shelton Polka led the way with 5 goals and 2 assists, while Mike McQuaid contributed a goal and had 2 assists.  Four other Bees had a goal.  Once again Kreyton Polka had a sterling day on defense.  In yesterday's match he had 20 saves.  In today's match he added another 18 saves for a two day total of 38 saves.

The Bees have now outscored their opponents 22-12 and need just one more victory against Liberty University to win the Regional Final.  It will be a tough competition since Liberty has lost only one match this season (vs. the University of Richmond) and stands at 15-1 on the year.  The faceoff begins Sunday at 12 noon.  Go Bees!
