Men Defeat Davis & Elkins College in 1st Swim Meet

Meet Results

The SCAD Men's Swimming Team won their first meet of the 2012-13 season by defeating Davis & Elkins College of Elkins, W. Virginia, in a meet held at Ga. Southern College in Statesboro, Georgia. 

 
Five Bees had the thrill of winning their first collegiate individual events for SCAD.  Freshman Tim Jarnvik won the 100 BR (1:01.71); Freshman Andrew Larimer won the 1000 FR (10:10.90); Freshman John LaPorta won the 100 FL (56:08); Sophomore Dan Jardin won the 1M Diving (144.60); and Junior Eliot Hutchison won the 200FL (2:10.89).  Congratulations to these men for their first of what we hope are many future event victories.
 
Other SCAD individual winners were Ryan Searles in the 200 FR (1:45.65) and the 200 BK (1:57.57); Patrick Cardillo in the 100 BK (54.99) and the 200 BR (2:18.36); Zach Redpath in the 50 FR (22.35); Jarnvik in the 100 FR (50.40); Larimer in the 500 FR (4:55.73); and Bradley Green in the 400 IM (4:25.96).
 
Congratulations to the SCAD Men for their first victory of 2012-13.  SCAD's next meet will be a dual meet against Florida Institute of Technology and the University of Tampa at the Chatham County Aquatic Center on November 3.
