CONWAY, S.C. – Derek Shurson and
Trey McKay combined for eight goals to lead the SCAD Savannah men's lacrosse team a 17-2 victory over Coastal Carolina University Saturday (March 26) afternoon.
The Bees, who are ranked ninth in the latest Prodigy MCLA Division II Top 25 poll, improved to 8-4. SCAD returns to action next Saturday (April 2) with a 7 p.m. contest against Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Shurson and McKay each led the Bees with four goals.
Matt Dean added three goals while
Shelton Polka and
Mike McQuaid recorded two each.
Michael Molinaro and
Chris Smith each tallied a goal.
Shelton Polka had three assists while McKay had two.
Wade Winebrenner (10) and
Kreyton Polka (4) combined for 14 saves in goal.
Shelton Polka led the Bees with six ground balls while Shurson had five and
Cody Hoerauf added four more.
