DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Savannah College of Art and Design women's tennis team split two matches Sunday (Feb. 28) at the Crotty Tennis Complex.
The ninth-ranked Bees defeated St. Thomas (Fla.) University 9-0 before SCAD suffered an 8-1 loss at the hands of No. 4 Embry-Riddle (Fla.).
SCAD fell to 6-1 overall and to 5-1 in The Sun Conference. The loss to the Eagles snapped the Bees' winning streak of 31 consecutive matches inside the conference.
SCAD returns to action March 16 against Oklahoma Baptist University in an 11:30 a.m. match in Orlando, Fla.
