CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The SCAD Savannah women's swimming team competed this weekend against Catawba College, Queens University of North Carolina and Wingate University in a quad meet at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Center.

SCAD registered wins against Catawba (214-100) and Queens (256-49) and absorbed a loss to Wingate (182.5-132.5) to improve to 2-5. SCAD returns to Charlotte, N.C., to take part in the Wingate Fall Frenzy Nov. 20-21.

SCAD won four of the 17 events that were contested over the two-day meet.

Liz Roberts tallied wins in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.68) and 200 breaststroke (2:27.03) events.

SCAD also captured wins in two relay events. The Bees won the 400 medley (Kelsey Bobzein, Roberts, Gianna Grace, Mary Ashley Krogh – 4:02.54) and 200 medley (Krogh, Roberts, Bobzein, Zenobia Duncan – 1:49.22) relays.
