ORLANDO, Fla. - The Savannah College of Art and Design women's tennis team opened up their 2009 season with a 9-0 The Sun Conference victory over St. Thomas (Fla.) University Saturday (Feb. 7) afternoon at the Oak Street Park.

The Bees, who are the three-time defending conference champions, improved to 1-0 overall and 1-0 in the conference while St. Thomas fell to 0-2 and 0-1. SCAD, which won every match in straight sets, returns to action Sunday (Feb. 8) with a 2 p.m. league contest against Northwood (Fla.) University.
