TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa took a women's swimming meet from the Savannah College of Art and Design 159-103 Friday (Oct. 24) afternoon.

SCAD fell to 1-2. SCAD will return to the pool Saturday (Oct. 25) with a 10 a.m. double dual against Florida Southern College and Saint Leo University in Lakeland, Fla.

SCAD swimmers took wins in five of the 14 events competed with the Spartans.  Stephanie McNicol was  the top swimmer for the Bees with two wins. McNicol captured the women's 500 freestyle (5:16.26) and 1,000 freestyle (10:41.38) events.

Liz Roberts (100 breaststroke, 1:09.26), Cassie Dixon (100 freestyle, 54.92) and Melanie Futscher (200 breaststroke, 2:29.46) picked up the other individual wins for the Bees.
