JP Navarro is in his second season with the SCAD Men’s soccer program. During his first year (2019-20) with the Bee’s, the team earned a 7-5-2 record and a Fourth-place finish in the Sun Conference Championship.

As the Assistant Coach, JP’s responsibilities include recruiting, coaching, training, and assisting in day-to-day operations. Navarro is also the primary goal keeping coach.    

During the pandemic, Navarro returned to Michigan, his home state, where he stayed active in soccer by coaching the boys’ soccer team at Traverse City Central High School, running personal training sessions with players in the area and refereeing soccer of all ages. 

Before joining SCAD, Navarro spent five years coaching soccer at East Lansing High School while earning his degree in the Arts and Humanities at Michigan State University. During his time with the program, they went 63-18-5 and went to four straight regional finals. Navarro has also led developmental soccer programs for children ranging from Kindergarten to Middle School.
