Jack Crichton joins the SCAD men’s soccer program in the Fall of 2023.
Before SCAD, Jack trained with Tranmere Tovers (EFL League 2) and Wrexham AFC (National League) while in the United Kingdom. He also played for Colwyn Bay in the Welsh Cymru North, where they gained promotion to the Welsh Premier as Champions of the Cymru North and became League Cup North Winners.
Jack graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in December of 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Factors Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. While at Embry-Riddle, Jack competed for the men's soccer team as a goalkeeper, earning Sunshine State All-Conference Second-Team honors in 2021 while totaling the most saves in the conference (42), most saves in a single conference game (12) and most minutes played in the conference for a goalkeeper (948).
While at Embry-Riddle, Jack was also the Director of Goalkeeping at the Florida Elite Soccer Academy while coaching two youth teams. Jack was the Interim Director of Goalkeeping for FC Barcelona Residence Academy USA in Casa Grande, Ariz., in 2021.
In 2018, before heading to college, Jack was the Goalkeeper Coach and Goalkeeper for Sporting AZ, reaching the National Championship final and completing a successful US Open Cup run, beating USL Champion Phoenix Rising.
In 2017, Jack was the Goalkeeper Coach and Goalkeeper for SVSC and an Assistant Coach for PSA Soccer Academy in Smyrna Beach, Fla., while in 2018, he was the Director of Goalkeeping and Assistant Director of Coaching for DME Sports Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Before coaching, Jack completed his second-year Youth Scholarship at Blackpool FC from October 2014-May 2015.
From Doncaster, England, Jack grew up around the sport as his dad, Paul Crichton, is a former professional goalkeeper who played in over 550 league games in the Premier League, Championship, League 1, and League 2. After playing, Paul transitioned into coaching and coached at various professional teams such as Sheffield United, Brighton and Hove Albion, Queens Park Rangers, Blackpool FC, Norwich City, and Huddersfield Town.
