Jared Kutil begins his first season coaching the men’s and women’s fishing teams at Savannah College of Art and Design in the fall of 2018. Coach Kutil comes to SCAD with an extensive fishing tournament background over the past 16 years which includes many of his own top fishing tournament finishes in collegiate, amateur, and professional competition. In addition, he comes to SCAD with a multitude of marketing, sales, and business development tools from his previous positions within the fishing industry over the past six years.
He has received top finishes in FLW’s Bass Fishing League (BFL), FLW Costa Series, Bassmaster Opens, Hobie Bass Opens, Kayak Bass Fishing, and additional competition leagues. He also competed among the top 50 FLW BFL amateurs in the nation during the 2014 BFL All-American championship tournament.
Kutil previously held the position of Corporate Sales Manager for Professional Edge Fishing, Inc where he managed the sponsorship sales for several of the top professional Bassmaster Elite Series anglers, bass fishing media properties, and a youth fishing charity. Prior to his position with Professional Edge, Kutil held the position of Assistant Program Manager at The Bass University, a leading bass fishing education seminar and online training service.
He graduated from Georgia College & State University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree concentrating in Marketing. While attending Georgia College, Kutil co-founded the Georgia College Bass Fishing team and served as the team’s Vice President for three years. Kutil and his team-tournament partners accumulated numerous top-10 and top-20 finishes in college fishing competition. The Georgia College fishing team was also ranked by FLW Magazine in 2010 as the sixth ranked bass fishing team in the nation.
Kutil graduated from Dacula High School near Atlanta, GA in 2007. He played on the football team and competed in youth and adult fishing club tournaments outside of school.
Coach Kutil currently resides in Beaufort, SC with his wife Leah. In his personal time, he enjoys exploring the low country and pursuing the numerous freshwater and saltwater species of fish, especially Redfish and Seatrout.
