MADISON, Wisc.– SCAD Cycling delivered a commanding  performance at the USA Cycling Road National Championship highlighted by brilliant podium finishes in the Women's Road Race and Team Time Trial, alongside a flurry of top-10 results across both the men's and women's squads.

The women's team proved to be a dominant force throughout the championship weekend. They set the tone early by securing a hard-fought third place in the Women's Team Time Trial. The momentum carried directly into the Women's National Road Race, where the team rode a tactical race. Jette Aelken secured a spectacular third-place podium finish. Showcasing the team's incredible depth, Tess Edwards crossed the line in fifth, and Ava Wilson sprinted to eighth, putting three Bees firmly in the top 10. Ines Mendez rounded out the stellar team effort with a strong 17th-place finish.

The fast-paced Women's National Criterium saw the team maintain its aggressive presence. Once again, three riders secured top-10 finishes, with Mendez taking sixth, Valentina Ferreya Beltramo placing seventh, and Wilson finishing right behind in ninth.

The men's squad also posted impressive results against a highly competitive national field. The team kicked off the championships with a powerful effort in the Men's Team Time Trial, securing a highly respectable fifth place. In the Men's National Criterium, Carlos Perez navigated the chaotic final laps to sprint to a strong seventh place, with teammate Samuel Mayer finishing just outside the top 10 in 11th. The Men's National Road Race saw gritty, enduring performances over the grueling course, with Perez taking 12th and Andy Scarano finishing 17th.

The Bees are back in action on Saturday, May 23 in the USA Crits Winston Salem.
