AUBURN, Ala.- SCAD Cycling had impressive showing at the Auburn Race Weekend with four first place finishes.
Saturday Results
The events kicked off with the Women's Collegiate 1/2/3 road race.
Tess Edwards led the field with a first-place finish, followed by
Jette Aelken in second. Kate Krisky took fourth place, while
Valentina Ferreya Beltramo and
Ava Wilson finished in sixth and seventh, respectively.
The Men's Collegiate 1/2/3 road race followed.
Samuel Mayer led the SCAD finishers with a second-place result.
Carlos Perez wasn't far behind in fifth, followed by
Javier Lopez in tenth.
The Bees also delivered two strong performances in the team time trials, where the women secured first place and the men finished second.
Sunday Results
Day two of the Auburn Race Weekend began with the Women's Criterium 1/2/3, where SCAD notched another victory thanks to
Ines Mendez.
Ava Wilson tallied a fifth-place finish, and the Bees brought home three more top-10 results:
Mea Cleathero in seventh,
Katey Krisky in ninth, and
Valentina Ferreya Beltramo in tenth.
In the Men's Criterium 1/2/3,
Carlos Perez brought home the fourth individual win of the weekend for the Bees.
The Bees return to action Saturday, April 11 – Sunday, April 12 for the Sunny King Conference Championship in Anniston, Alabama.
