HARDEEVILLE, S.C. — The No. RV SCAD men's lacrosse team improved to 2-0 on the season with a hard-fought 15-9 victory over NCA DIII Southern Virginia University on Saturday morning at the SCAD Athletics Complex.
RECORDS: The Bees move to 2-0 to start the 2026 campaign, while the Knights fall to 0-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED: SCAD established an early rhythm, outscoring the visitors 4-1 in the first quarter.
Ethan Cline opened the scoring for the Bees, followed by
Lucas Martinez and
Mason Hickman to take an early 3-0 lead with 9:20 remaining in the first quarter. Southern Virginia netted their first goal at the 7:46 mark, but it would remain the only Knight's goal of the quarter.
Jonathan O'Bryant Graves scored his first of five goals with just three seconds remaining in the first to give SCAD a three-goal cushion heading into the second quarter.
The Bees continued to apply pressure in the second frame, maintaining their lead with goals from
Noah Moreland,
Mason Hickman (2), and
Travis Cheristin to increase their lead to 8-3 heading into halftime.
In the third quarter, SCAD's offense exploded for five goals to put the game out of reach.
Noah Moreland and O'Bryant Graves (3) each found the net early in the period, while
Ian Wildermuth also contributed to the scoring surge, extending the lead to 13-7 heading into the final 15 minutes.
The Bees' defense held firm in the fourth, allowing only two goals while
Sebastian Manuel and O'Bryant Graves added one goal each to secure the six-goal victory (15-9).
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: The Bees' offensive efficiency was on display as they put 28 of their 43 total shots on goal.
Jonathan O'Bryant Graves led the charge with a game-high five goals, while
Noah Moreland and
Travis Cheristin each tallied two goals apiece.
Sebastian Manuel was a primary facilitator for the offense, recording a game-high five assists.
Lucas Martinez won 15-of-22 faceoffs and collected a game-high 10 ground balls.
Goalie
Noah Miller earned the win in the cage, recording eight saves as SCAD went on to force 29 turnovers – 14 caused - from the Knights.
