LONG VALLEY, N.J. – The SCAD equestrian team earned its eighth-consecutive Holiday Tournament of Champions win on Saturday.
The 35
th Holiday Tournament of Champions took place at Centenary University on Saturday, and with a light snow on the ground, the Bees got things heated up, taking on 16 of the top teams in the country.
COMPETING TEAMS: Centenary University hosted and fielded two teams with the other teams competing were: Delaware Valley University, Emory and Henry University, Goucher College, Miami University of Ohio, Mount Holyoke College, Penn State University, Sacred Heart University, Saint Lawrence University, Sewanee University of the South, Skidmore College, University of Delaware, University of Rhode Island, and the University of Lynchburg.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS: Junior
Alex Alston won both his open and over fences division, and then, after testing in the high medal flat, was called back with the top eight riders to compete over fences. Afterwards, Alston was named the High Medal Champion.
Junior
Peter Cavagnac tested in the low medal flat and was called back with the top eight riders to compete over fences, placing sixth overall.
