TAMPA, Fla. – For the second consecutive week, SCAD's
Noa Sonntag has been named the Sun Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, while
Emily Lau was named the Sun Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Noa Sonntag | Freshman | Freiburg, Germany
Sonntag had a massive week for the Bees as SCAD went 1-0-1 on the week, including a 1-1 tie with No. 4 Keiser University to remain unbeaten in SUN action. The freshman goalie played all 90 minutes of both games this week, picking up two saves in the 4-2 win over Ave Maria midweek, and then followed it up with a tremendous game against No. 4 Keiser, nabbing five saves and only allowing one goal.
SCAD will travel to St. Thomas University on Thursday, October 23, for a 7:00 p.m. kick off.
Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Emily Lau | Junior | Frisco, Texas
Lau had a big week for the Bees. The Junior led a Bees' defense that only allowed two shots in SCAD's 6-0 win over Ave Maria midweek, while also adding an assist in the matchup. Against No. 1 Keiser, Lau scored her first collegiate goal of her career to tie the game, giving SCAD a 1-0-1 record on the week.
The Bees host St. Thomas University on Wednesday, October 22, for a 7:00 p.m. kick off.
