The SCAD Cycling team capped off an impressive weekend at the 2025 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships, earning multiple podium finishes and placing ninth overall in the team omnium against the top collegiate programs in the country.

Racing across endurance and gravity disciplines, the Bees showcased their depth and determination throughout the championship weekend.

In the Women's A Short Track, Jette Jensen delivered SCAD's first podium of the event with a strong third-place finish, battling through a deep and competitive field. Jensen's weekend was cut short after a crash in the cross-country race, but her early result provided a boost for the team in the standings.

Gabe Vandenberg overcame early adversity after a mechanical in the Short Track, bouncing back to finish ninth in the Men's A Cross Country and securing valuable points toward SCAD's overall total.

In the downhill events, Macy Lester and Ian Schwing impressed with powerful runs through challenging terrain. Lester placed 11th in the Women's A Downhill, while Schwing charged to a sixth-place finish in the Men's A Downhill.

The weekend concluded with standout results in the individual omniums, which combine performance across all disciplines. Schwing earned a third-place podium finish in the Men's A Omnium, while Lester finished eighth overall in the Women's A Omnium, marking two of the team's strongest national performances of the season.

Overall, SCAD's consistency across events propelled the Bees to a top-10 national finish, placing ninth in the team omnium — a testament to the program's balance and all-around competitiveness on the national stage.
