LAKE WALES, Fla. – The SCAD men's soccer team picked up its second Sun Conference road win of the week with a 3-1 victory over Warner University Saturday night.
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 5-3-2, 3-1-0 SUN, while the Royals are now 1-4-3, 0-3-1 SUN.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Just over two minutes into the game,
Mario Goic gave the Bees a 1-0 lead when he found the back of the net. Goic doubled the lead five minutes later off an assist from
Caio Lara at the 7:29 mark.
Warner answered with a goal of their own in the 24
th minute, but it would not be enough as SCAD's
Raffael Mohr scored in the 85
th minute to give the Bees the 3-1 win.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Mario Goic adds to his impressive start to the season with two goals.
- Raffael Mohr totaled one goal on two shots, while Caio Lara added one assist.
- Goalie Connor Friel totaled four saves in his 90 minutes of work while the Bees' defense held Warner to seven shots.
