No. 8 Men’s Lacrosse Earns 12-10 Win Over No. RV Life University

MARIETTA, Ga. – The No. 8 SCAD men's lacrosse team traveled to No. RV Life University Friday night and won 12-10 over the Running Eagles.
 
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 8-5, 4-4 AAC, while the Running Eagles are now 4-5, 2-4 AAC.
 
DID YOU KNOW? This is the first season since 2018 in which SCAD has won eight games.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Bees scored the first goal of the game with 8:08 remaining in the first quarter. Unfortunately, Life responded with two unanswered goals to go up 2-1 heading into the second quarter.
 
SCAD made it a 3-2 game with back-to-back goals to start the second; the Running Eagles tied it at three-all before the Bees scored with 28 seconds remaining in the half to take a 4-3 lead, a lead they never gave up, into halftime.
 
The Bees outscored Life 5-2 in the third quarter, increasing their lead to 9-5 going into the final quarter.
 
Life totaled five goals in the fourth, but it would not be enough as SCAD scored three goals of their own to earn the 12-10 win.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Sebastian Manuel led the charge for the Bees, totaling two goals and five assists to tie a game-high seven points.
 
Mason Hickman tallied four goals for four points, while Michael Mowers and Theron Turnbull added two goals each. Jordan Reeves and Evan Baker totaled one goal apiece.
 
Lucas Martinez went 11-19 at the faceoff and picked up a team-high four ground balls. Mason Hickman also totaled four GBs, while David Nebus and Jake Kozak totaled three. Hickman and Kozak added a game-high three caused turnovers, while Nebus had two.
 
Goalies Luke Lamendola and Noah Miller split time in the cage, with Lamendola nabbing eight saves and Miller totaling three.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will travel to Montreat College on April 13 for a 1:00 p.m. game.
