HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The SCAD men's soccer team picked up its first Sun Conference win on Saturday, defeating Webber International 2-0 at home.
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 2-1-2, 1-0-1 SUN, while the Warriors are now 1-4-1, 0-2-0 SUN.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Lewis Gamble picked up his first goal of the season when
Ryan Holmes took the ball down the right side of the field and crossed it to Gamble, who found the back of the net to give SCAD a 1-0 lead five minutes into the game.
Neither team scored for the remainder of the half as the Bees took their 1-0 lead into halftime.
Ryan Holmes scored the insurance goal for SCAD when
Daire Russell crossed the ball from the left to give the Bees the 2-0 lead and ultimately the 2-0 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Ryan Holmes led the offensive charge with one goal and one assist for three points, while
Lewis Gamble totaled one goal.

Connor Friel earned the shutout win with five saves in his 90 minutes of work.
