BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The No. RV SCAD men's tennis team competed in the Sun Conference Championship Semifinal against No. 6 Southeastern University and lost 4-2.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 5-11 while the Fire advances to 17-3.
DOUBLES ACTION: The pair of
Danil Ozernoy and
David Lopez Cruz won 6-2 against Southeastern at number one doubles while
Mark Tryakshin and
Nicola Buffo won at number two doubles, 6-3, to give SCAD their first point.
The Fire won 6-1 over the pair of
Liam Stoica and
Johan Karlsson at number three doubles.
SINGLES ACTION: Danil Ozernoy (Almaty, Kazakhstan / Advertising and Branding) won the Bees' second point at number two singles with scores of 6-2, 6-3.
At number one singles,
Mark Tryakshin (Tashkent, Uzbekistan / Digital Media) fell 4-6, 2-6 while
David Lopez Cruz (Sevilla, Spain / Interactive Design / Game Development) and
Johan Karlsson (Eskilstuna, Sweden / Architecture) lost 1-6, 2-6 and 1-6, 1-6 at numbers four and five singles, respectively.
Nicola Buffo (Legnago, Italy / Social Strategy and Management), at number six singles, fell 2-6, 2-6. Southeastern was able to win the majority of singles points before
Liam Stoica (Auckland, New Zealand / User Experience (UX) Design) was able to finish at number three singles. His score stood at 2-6 and 5-2 unfinished.
