Men’s Lacrosse Falls to No. 3 Webber International

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The SCAD men's lacrosse team finished their season with a 24-6 loss to No. 3 Webber International University on Friday afternoon.
 
RECORDS: The Bees finish their season with a 4-9 record, while the Warriors continue with a 15-2 record.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Webber International opened the scoring just under a minute into the game starting a four-goal streak. SCAD answered with a goal from Jordan Reeves (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada / Architecture) later at the 1:09 mark. The Warriors were able to score one quick minute goal to bring the score to 5-1 going into the second.
 
The Bees scored the first goal of the second with a goal from Evan Baker (Saint Augustine, Fla. / Furniture Design) followed by a goal from Webber. SCAD scored again at the 8:27 mark from Matt Tolmer (Bridgeville, Pa. / Animation). The Warriors were able to score four unanswered goals to end the second quarter with a 10-3 lead going into the half.
 
Webber scored at the 12:17 mark starting the third quarter. Reeves, unassisted, scored second after to give the Bees their fourth point. The Warriors then scored eight consecutive goals to bringing the score to 19-4 going into the last quarter.
 
SCAD scored two points in the fourth quarter. The first came from Max Williams (Irmo, S.C. / Illustration) at the 9:29 mark and then one from Baker at the 4:28 mark. Webber finished with five more goals in the last quarter to finish the score at 24-6.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: Reeves and Baker each scored two points with Reeves gaining control of six ground balls and one caused turnover, while Baker had three ground balls.
 
Jake Kozak (Bel Air, Md. / Illustration) had the team high of three caused turnovers and also got two ground balls.
 
Goalie Benny Goldberg (West Bloomfield, Mich. / Industrial Design) made 13 saves in his 60 minutes of work.
