MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The SCAD men's soccer team traveled to Miami Gardens, Fla. on Saturday and lost 2-1 to Florida Memorial University.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 6-6-3, 5-5-2 SUN, while the Lions improve to 7-6-2, 5-5-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Florida Memorial started the scoring early, taking a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute. Neither team scored for the remainder of the half as SCAD went into halftime down a goal.
Just over twenty minutes into the second half,
Ryan Holmes found the back of the net to score the equalizer goal, making it a one-all game.
Unfortunately, the Lions picked up their second goal in the 81
st minute to go up 2-1, a lead that would remain the same throughout the rest of the game.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: The Bees totaled three shots on goal with
Ryan Holmes totaling one goal, in two shots on goal.
Kimi Husler added the remaining shot on goal.
