Men’s Soccer Falls 2-1 at Florida Memorial

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The SCAD men's soccer team traveled to Miami Gardens, Fla. on Saturday and lost 2-1 to Florida Memorial University.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 6-6-3, 5-5-2 SUN, while the Lions improve to 7-6-2, 5-5-1.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Florida Memorial started the scoring early, taking a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute. Neither team scored for the remainder of the half as SCAD went into halftime down a goal.
 
Just over twenty minutes into the second half, Ryan Holmes found the back of the net to score the equalizer goal, making it a one-all game.
 
Unfortunately, the Lions picked up their second goal in the 81st minute to go up 2-1, a lead that would remain the same throughout the rest of the game.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: The Bees totaled three shots on goal with Ryan Holmes totaling one goal, in two shots on goal. Kimi Husler added the remaining shot on goal.
 
Goalie Connor Friel totaled four saves in his 90 minutes of work.
