No. 18 Women’s Soccer Tops No. RV Judson 3-2 on the Road

ELGIN, Ill. – The No. 18 women's soccer team defeated No. RV Judson University 3-2 on the road Saturday afternoon.
 
RECORDS
  • The Bees are now 2-0.
  • The Eagles are now 0-1. 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • SCAD's Sydney Chura (Milford, Mich. / Fibers) started the scoring for the Bees at the 12:05 mark with an assist from Ines Sommer (Lisbon, Portugal / Film and Television).
  • Judson was able to sneak in one of their two goals around the 19-minute mark which tied up the game 1-1.
  • The tie was held until Berglind Baldursdottir (Kopavogur, Iceland / Architecture) found the back of the net in the 33rd minute, bringing the score 2-1 going into half time.
  • In the second half, the Bees held the Eagles to only three shots while taking 11 of their own and scoring one goal to earn the 3-2 win.
  • SCAD's only goal of the second half came from Sommer at the 53-minute mark followed by one last goal from Judson at the 68-minute mark to wrap the game up.
