SAVANNAH, Ga. – The SCAD men's soccer team opened the season at home on Friday night and fell 3-1 to Life University.
 
RECORDS

• The Bees start the season off with a record of 0-1.
• The Life Running Eagles are 1-0 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Life took a 1-0 lead into the half.
• At halftime, inclement weather moved in, and the game was put on hold for one hour and 45 minutes.
• The Running Eagles scored their second goal minutes into the start of play.
• James Holmes (Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England) took a penalty kick in the 52^nd minute that was saved but then he scored on the rebound to give the Bees their only goal of the game.
• Life took a 3-1 lead in the 76^th minute.
• Neither team scored for the remainder of the half to reach a final score of 3-1. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Goalie Connor Friel (Ballymena, Northern Ireland / Advertising and Branding) had a big night, totaling 11 saves in his 90 minutes of work.
• Holmes totaled two shots and one goal.
• Lewis Gamble (Airdrie, Scotland / Advertising and Branding) and Jesus Ulloa (Savannah, Ga. / Graphic Design) tallied one shot each.
• David Temmel (Graz, Austria / Social Strategy and Management) nabbed a defensive save to give the Bees 12 saves total.

• The Bees will travel to Faulkner University for a 5:00 p.m. game on August 24.
