BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The SCAD men's indoor track & field team traveled to Birmingham, Ala. for the SSAC/SUN Championship on Monday.
 
TOP FINISHES: Jake Barraclough (Bedford, England / Creative Business Leadership) won the 3000M (9:11.49) and the 5000M (15:57.42).
 
Tomoki Scharber (Mill Valley, Calif. / Accessory Design) won the mile with a time of 4:22.97.
 
The 4x800M relay team of Jermaine Jones (Rocky Mount, N.C. / Painting), Jake Smith (Sand Springs, Okla. / Accessory Design), Shammah Dosunmu (Carmel, Ind. / Fashion Design) and Carson Philbin (Charlotte, N.C. / Social Strategy and Management) won with a time of 8:18.25.
 
Scharber, Dosunmu, Philbin and Barraclough won the distance medley relay with a time of 11:09.22.
 
Philbin finished second in the 800M with a time of 2:00.03 and third in the mile with a time of 4:30.92.  
 
Dosunmu finished third in the 800M with a time of 2:00.12 while David Fuller (Portland, Ore. / Industrial Design) finished third in the 3000M (9:18.55) and the 5000M (16:14.01).
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will travel to Columbia, S.C. for the University of South Carolina Indoor Open on February 18.
