TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The women's cross-country team and members of the men's team traveled to Apalachee Regional Park to compete in the NAIA National Championships on Friday morning.
DID YOU KNOW? Monserrat was named to the All-American finishing in the top 40 and is the second person to earn this award in program history.
WOMEN'S TEAM FINISH: The women's team finished 26
th in the 36-team field with 631 points. Taylor won the event with 50 points followed by Milligan with 177 points.
WOMEN'S INDIVIDUAL FINISHES: Montserrat De Santiago (La Grange, Texas / Interior Design) was SCAD's top runner placing 37
th out of 326 with a time of 18:08.0.
Talia Sullivan (Lustleigh, Devon, England / Painting) placed 73
rd with a time of 18:39.6 and
Julia Gralki (Wangen im Allgau, Germany / Writing) placed 208
th with a time of 19:43.8.
With a time of 20:06.1,
Valentina Garcia (Bogota, Colombia / Industrial Design) placed 247th while
Ella Hodges Tallahassee, Fla. / Undeclared) ran a 20:11.6 placing 255
th.
Maggie Froning (Oak Ridge, Tenn. / Accessory Design) and
Stef Baracaldo (Ocala, Fla. / Advertising) finished in 299
th and 306
th, respectively, with times of 21:02.5 and 21:16.9.
MEN'S INDIVIDUAL FINISHES: Carson Philbin (Charlotte, N.C. / Social Strategy and Management) was the Bee's top runner finishing in 202
nd out of 326 with a time of 26:24.7.
Tomoki Scharber (Mill Valley, Calif. / Accessory Design) did not finish.
