HOW IT HAPPENED: The first half of the game remained scoreless with the first goal coming from
Pauline Watta (Rheine, Germany) in the 49
th minute to give the Bees a 1-0 lead.
Sophia Valentin (Long Beach, N.Y. / Illustration) scored the second goal of the game off an assist from
Berglind Baldursdottir (Kopavogur, Iceland / Architcture) with just over 20 minutes remaining in the game.
Neither team scored for the remainder of the game and the Bees won 2-0.
BOX SCORE: SCAD outshot Middle Georgia State 13-8 with seven of those goals on goal. Goalie
Eliana Charalambous (Manassas, Va. / Graphic Design) earned the win with two saves in her 90 minutes of work.
Watta totaled one goal on two shots, both on goal while Valentin took one shot and scored.
Sydney Chura (Milford, Mich.) totaled four shots with
Natalie Zapata (Suwanee, Ga. / Fashion) tallying three.
Zoe Kennedy (Rock Hill, S.C. / Innersive Reality) and
Ines Sommer (Lisbon, Portugal / Film and Television) had two shots and one shot, respectively while Sommer added one assist.
