SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 7 ranked SCAD women's lacrosse team is set to face No. 2 Cumberlands in the first-round of the 2021 NAIA Women's Lacrosse Championship here in Savannah.

The Bees enter the tournament with an 8-2 record and earned one of four at-large bids after finishing second in the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament. The Patriots enter the tournament with a 14-1 overall record and earned one of the at-large bids, as well.

The quarterfinal game will be on Wednesday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Savannah, Ga.

Qualifier Highlights

• Women's lacrosse is in its first year as a sport in the NAIA.
• All qualifying teams will record their first National Championship appearance this year.
• Out of the 2021 championship field, SCAD Savannah (Ga.) and Lawrence Tech (Mich.) have made an appearance in all of the previous NAIA Invitationals.
• SCAD Savannah (Ga.) enters the field with three Invitational titles from 2017, 2018 & 2019.
