Men’s Lacrosse Suffers Tough Loss to No. 1 Reinhardt

QUICK GOAL: The SCAD men's lacrosse team traveled to No. 1 Reinhardt Thursday night and suffered a 26-3 loss at the hands of the Eagles.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 3-3, 3-3 AAC while the Eagles improve to 11-0, 6-0 AAC.
 
DID YOU KNOW? With Wolf Zachar's (Springfield, Va. / Industrial Design) assist to Elliot Fish (Toronto, Ontario, Canada / Film and Television) in the first quarter, Zachar surpassed the 100-career points milestone. With Fish's second goal of the game, he earned his 100th career point.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: The Eagles scored the first two goals of the game before Fish, off an assist from Zachar, found the back of the net to cut the lead in half (2-1).
 
Unfortunately, the Bees did not score for the remainder of the half and Reinhardt took a 12-1 lead into halftime.
 
The Eagles scored the first five goals of the third quarter before Fish, off an assist from Zachar, once again found the back of the net to bring the score to 17-2.
 
SCAD's last goal came from Sean Parmer (South Elgin, Ill. / Architecture), off an assist from Zachar, at the 14:27 mark in the fourth quarter but it would be the last goal for SCAD as Reinhardt went on to win 26-3.
 
BOX SCORE: Zachar totaled a team-high three points with his three assists while Fish added two goals for two points and Parmer totaled one goal and one assist.
 
Matt Tolmer (Bridgeville, Pa. / Advertising and Branding) and JT Smith (West End, N.C. / User Experience (UX) Design) led the team in ground balls with four while Parmer added three and Benny Goldberg (West Bloomfield, Mich. / Industrial Design) and Kevin Curry (Millsboro, Conn.) tallied two each. Tolmer added three caused turnovers while Dylan Doremus (Milford, N.J. / Graphic Design) had two.
 
Goldberg and Ross Wiseman (Loveland, Ohio / Animation) shared time in the cage with Goldberg nabbing seven saves in 45 minutes of work and Wiseman totaling two in 15 minutes.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees remain on the road for the last regular season game at Tennessee Wesleyan on Sunday, April 11 at 1:00 p.m.
