Men’s Soccer Shuts Out Thomas University on Wednesday

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The SCAD men's soccer team picked up its first win since the end of August, going 0-3-5 since defeating Middle Georgia State 3-0 on August 27.

  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bees did not have a 2020 season and this is SCAD's first conference win since defeating Ave Maria University 3-0 on November 2, 2019.
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Matteo Tizzano (London, United Kingdom / Advertising and Branding) scored what turned out to be the winning goal just seven minutes into the game when he found the back of the net off an assist from Philip Holtgen (Munich, Germany / Industrial Design).
  • The game remained 1-0 in favor of the Bees through the remainder of the half.
  • Jesus Ulloa (Savannah, Ga. / Graphic Design) scored the first insurance goal at the 63:11 mark off an assist from Tizzano and Giovanny Lares (Savannah, Ga. / Graphic Design).
  • Caio Lara (Richmond Hill, Ga. / Architecture) scored off a rebound shot in the 70th minute to ultimately give SCAD the 3-0 win.
