DOUBLES ACTION: SCAD gave up its first point at the conclusion of doubles as
Priya Sukkanha (Nothaburi, Thailand / Fashion) and
Valerie Droop (Hilton Head, S.C. / Advertising and Branding) won the only doubles match at the number one spot.
Haley Morrissey (Frisco, Texas / Animation) and
Tova Tilk Tobrand (Gothenburg, Sweden / Industrial Design) fell 7-6 (5) at number two doubles while
Nicole Katzarkov (Coral Gables, Fla. / Preservation Design) and
Brittany Waugh (Stevenson Ranch, Calif. / Advertising and Branding) lost 7-5 at number three doubles.
SINGLES ACTION: Sukkanha won 6-1, 6-0 at number one singles while Droop won 6-3, 7-5 at number two singles.
Morrissey won 5-7, 6-1, 10-6 at number four singles while Tobrand and
Francine Voit (Boca Raton, Fla. / Interior Design) won 6-0, 6-4 and 6-1, 7-6 (6) in the numbers five and six singles positions, respectively.
Katzarkov fell 5-7, 3-6 at number three singles.
