QUICK STORY: The SCAD men's soccer team won its home opener on Tuesday night with a 1-0 shut-out of Middle Georgia State University.
 
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 1-1 while the Knights fall to 0-1.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Almost 16 minutes into the second half the Bees were awarded a free kick to the right of the goal. Lewis Gamble laid the ball up in the middle of the box and Ben Jacobson headed it past the goalie to score the only goal of the game.
 
DID YOU KNOW? This is Jacobson's first collegiate goal of his career.
 
BOX SCORE: The Bees totaled six shots and one corner kick.
 
Jacobson scored the only goal on one shot while Gamble totaled two shots and one assist. Mckinley Fodness, Zachary Hoedl and Jason Lillard all totaled one shot each.
 
Goalie Joe Parker eared the shutout win with two saves in his 90 minutes of action.
