GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The SCAD women's lacrosse team headed back to school for their Community Service Project before the start of the 2019 NAIA Women's Lacrosse National Invitational Championship.
The Bees went to St. Stephen Catholic School on Wednesday to teach third, fourth and fifth-graders about what it means to be a student-athlete in the NAIA.
Throughout the team's time with the elementary students, our Artist-Athletes spoke about being athletes and students at an art school and then taught the kids how to play lacrosse.
Stations included defense, draw controls, passing, and even a fun "duck-duck-goose" game.
