QUICK SCORE: The No. 10 ranked SCAD men's lacrosse team defeated Missouri Baptist 9-4 in an Independent College Conference semifinal Friday night. With this win, the Bees advance to the Independent College Conference final Saturday.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 7-3 on the season while the Spartans end their season with a 5-9 record.
HOW IT HAPPENED: A minute and 10 seconds into the first quarter, SCAD gets on the board with an unassisted goal from
Sean Parmer. Almost 10 minutes went by before Missouri Baptist tied the game at one.
Liam Thomas opened the second quarter with a man-up goal to give the Bees a 2-1 lead with 10:21 on the clock. The Spartans answered with a goal of their own at the 4:23 mark to tie the game at two.
Wolf Zachar scored off an assist from Thomas with 45 seconds remaining in the half to take a slim 3-2 lead into halftime.
Zachar and Parmer opened the third quarter with back-to-back goals to go up 5-2.
Missouri Baptist scored a goal at the 10:41 mark and another at the 1:36 mark to come within one (5-4). However, SCAD ended the third quarter with a goal from
Jude Kuhn with just over one-minute remaining in the quarter.
The Bees scored the only goals – Thomas, Zachar, Parmer – in the fourth quarter to clinch the 9-4 victory.

Ross Wiseman had a big night in the cage nabbing 11 saves and only allowing four goals in the win.
Parmer and Zachar led the offense with three goals each. Thomas added two goals and one assist. Kuhn totaled one goal.
Jordan Reeves added tallied a game-high seven ground balls while Zachar,
Tyler Hunsaker and
JT Smith added five each. Smith also won 12 of 15 face offs.
Matt Tolmer and Wiseman picked up three ground balls with Tolmer also causing two turnovers. Thomas, Kuhn and
Elliot Fish had two ground balls while Parmer,
Banks Maynard and
Bryant Aquino totaled one. Zachar,
Jackson Bryan and
Dylan Doremus all tallied one caused turnover.
