Men’s Tennis Battles Southeastern

Box Score QUICK SCORE: The SCAD men's tennis team traveled to Lakeland, Fla. for a Sun Conference match against Southeastern University and lost 6-3.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 0-4, 0-3 TSC while Southeastern improves to 3-2, 2-1 TSC.
 
DOUBLES ACTION: Liam Stoica and Eloy Veloso fell 8-4 at No. 1 doubles while Daiki Naka and Sebastian Nunez lost 8-1 at No. 2 doubles. Matt Kastritis and Romano Natale dropped an 8-2 decision at No. 3 doubles.
 
SINGLES ACTION: Stoica won his No. 1 singles match in three sets: 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 while Naka won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. 
 
Nunez picked up SCAD's last point with a 6-1, 3-6, 10-4 win at No. 4 singles.
 
Veloso fell 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 singles, Natale lost 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and Kastritis dropped his No. 6 singles match 6-0, 6-0.
 
COACH O: "Our men's team lost a tough battle today against Southeastern" states Head Coach Ken Obermeier. "The men played really well at a solid all day and I am pleased with the progress they are making."
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees return home to host Warner on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 2:00 p.m.
