QUICK GOAL: The SCAD women's soccer team opened Sun Conference (TSC) play with a 3-2 loss to Warner University at home Wednesday evening.
RECORDS: The Bees are now 3-5-0 overall and 0-1 TSC. The Royals improve to 4-2-1, 1-0 TSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Warner scored two goals within three minutes of each other late in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Seven minutes into the second half,
Sam Manelis crossed the ball from the right to the center of the box and the opposing goalie deflected it.
Annie Sullivan capitalized on the open goal and scored to cut the lead in half (2-1).
Sullivan scored again in the 79
thminute to tie the game at two but the Royals responded with another goal to reclaim the lead (3-2) at the 81:41 mark.
With less than a minute remaining in the game,
Hannah Amidon took a shot to try and force an overtime, but it was saved by Warner's goalie and the Bees did not get another chance.
BOX SCORE: Sullivan lead the way for the Bees, scoring two goals on four shots. Manelis and Amidon totaled three shots with Manelis's all going on goal.

Riley Shelton,
Savannah Raines,
Emily Castro,
Mackayla Dean and
Mikaela Heyboer took one each.
Goalie
Eliana Charalambous nabbed three saves in her 90 minutes of work.
