QUICK GOAL: The SCAD women's soccer team opened the season with a 1-0 win over Middle Georgia State University on the road Monday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED? SCAD took their shot on a breakaway ball by
Maddy Lambert who sent it to
Sam Manelis. Manelis found the back of the net through the opposing goal keeper's legs to give the Bees the 1-0 win.
BOX SCORE: The Bees outshot the Knights 12-5 to earn the 1-0 win.
Manelis went 1-3 in shots while
Annie Sullivan managed four shots, three on goal. Lambert added one assist.
Hannah Amidon,
Riley Shelton,
Nikki Abel,
Helena Godmann and
Mikaela Heyboer all tallied one shot.
Goalie Eliana Charalambuos nabbed three saves for the win.
