Box Score QUICK SCORE: The SCAD women's lacrosse team defeated visiting NCAA Division II Newberry College 23-7 Wednesday evening.
 
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 9-0 while the Wolves fall to 3-8 overall.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED? SCAD opened the game with four goals within the first three minutes. Newberry answered with one of their own at the 24:57 mark but the Bees fired back with four more, with the last coming at the 18:52 mark to take an 8-1 lead.
 
Newberry went on to score five more goals, but the Bees scored five as well to take a 13-6 lead into halftime.
 
SCAD put on a show in the second half, scoring 10 goals to the Wolves' one to win 23-7.
 
BOX SCORE: Sydney Knego and Jo Mitchell scored a game-high five goals each with Shannon Flaherty scoring four. Flaherty added two assists while Knego and Mitchell totaled one each. Drew Dowgiallo totaled four goals and two assists with all four tallying a game-high six points.
 
Casey Summerson totaled two goals and three assists for five points while Taylor Vaccaro added two goals and one assist for three points.
 
Flaherty added five ground balls, six draw controls and three caused turnovers. Knego totaled a game-high seven draw controls while Summerson added five.
 
Emma Deveraux picked up three ground balls and a game-high five caused turnovers.
 
Goalies Maggie Lortz (9-0) and Cameron Dolan split time in the cage and nabbed three saves apiece.
