Tough Loss for Men’s Tennis

QUICK SCORE: The SCAD men's tennis team suffered a tough 8-1 loss to No. 17 Asbury at home Friday afternoon.
 
RECORDS: The Bees are now 1-7 while the Eagles are now 4-1.
 
DOUBLES ACTION: Sean Hajdu and Joshua Tewes-McCoy fell 8-3 at number one doubles while Sebastian Nunez and Mateo Fernandez fell 8-4 at number three doubles.
 
Daiki Naka and his partner Dino Bisignano fought hard and dropped a 9-7 decision at number two doubles.
 
SINGLES ACTION: Naka won the lone point for the Bees when he defeated his number two singles opponent 6-1, 3-6, 10-7.
 
Hajdu fell on straight-sets (6-0, 6-0) at number one singles while Bisignano and Fernandez lost 6-2, 6-0 and 6-4, 6-2 at numbers five and six singles, respectively.
 
Nunez, at number three singles, and Tewes-McCoy, at number four, had to retire due to injury.
 
WHAT'S NEXT? The Bees will play Carroll University on March 20 in Hilton Head, S.C. at 1:00 p.m.
