QUICK STORY: The SCAD men's and women's tennis teams hosted the Second Annual SCAD Tennis Fall Invite presented by Coca-Cola Friday-Sunday.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:Â The tournament consisted of Flighted Compass Draws. Friday was to consist of doubles competition while Saturday was to be two singles matches with one singles match on Sunday.Â

Due to inclement weather, Friday's matches were cancelled, which led to two doubles matches and two singles matches being played on Saturday. Sunday consisted of the Championship matches in singles and doubles.

DOUBLES CHAMPIONS:Â In the women's doubles championships, SCAD faced SCAD as
Priya Sukkanha and
Johanna Weber faced off against
Haley Morrissey and
Tova Tilk Tobrand. Sukkanha and Weber defeated Morrissey and Tobrand 8-3.

MEN'S SINGLES BLACK FLIGHT:Â Daiki Naka played tough this weekend and won the Men's Singles Black Flight with a 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) win over Bluefield College's Yamada.

WOMEN'S SINGLES:Â In both the Black and Yellow Flights SCAD faced off again. In the Black Flight Sukkanha defeated Morrissey 6-4, 6-0 and in the Yellow Flight,
Valerie Droop defeated
Nicole Katzarkov 6-1, 6-2.

WORDS FROM COACH O:Â "After a soggy start to the Second-Annual SCAD Fall Invite presented by Coca-Cola, the weather was great, and the tennis was better" states Head Coach
Ken Obermeier. "The Bees played well in every match and improved each day. They won the Men's and Women's Singles Championship and the Women's Doubles Championship to end the fall season for the ladies as the men have one more event next weekend at Georgia Southern. There was some phenomenal tennis played this weekend and I am excited about our future!"
