QUICK HIT: The No. 20 SCAD men's tennis team won a hard-fought match
7-2 over NCAA Division I Bethune-Cookman on Sunday afternoon.
RECORDS: The Bees, who won 7-2 are now 7-7 overall and the Wildcats are 1-17 this season.
Doubles: SCAD led 3-0 at the completion of doubles.
Sean Hajdu and
Kosta Sevic at number one doubles won 9-7 while
Yulin Liu and Da
iki Naka won 9-8 (6-3) at number two doubles.
The third point came at number three doubles when the Wildcats were not able to put a doubles team together.
SINGLES: After fighting hard all match, Hajdu won 6-4, 6-3 at number one singles.
Naka also defeated his opponent at number two singles 2-6, 5-3, retired.
Quentin Staley won 6-4, 6-2 at number four singles while
Dylan Shrier picks up an uncontested win at number six singles as Bethune-Cookman did not have a sixth player.
Yulin Liu and
Josh Tewes-McCoy fell to opponents 6-2, 3-6, 13-11 and 6-0, 6-3 in the numbers three and five singles spots, respectively.
