Box Score QUICK STORY: The No. 1 ranked SCAD women's lacrosse team dominated No. 8 Tennessee Wesleyan at home Tuesday night, winning 23-11.
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 4-0 on the season while the Bulldogs fall to 3-2.
GOALS GALORE: SCAD totaled 41 shots to the Bulldogs' 18 with
Sydney Knego and
Drew Dowgiallo scoring a game high five goals each.
Taylor Vaccaro added three goals and three assists while
Shannon Flaherty, Torii Clark and
Kirsten Carr tallied two goals each with Flaherty picking up two assists.
Joanna Ehatt added one goal and three assists while
Emma Devereaux, Tess St. John and
Jenna Tooley rounded out the scoring with one goal each.
DEFENSE: Maggie Lortz and
Olivia Vieira split time in the cage and totaled three saves with Lortz making two and Vieira making one.
OTHER STATS: The Bees totaled 21 ground balls to the Bulldogs' 12 and won 21 draw controls to Tennessee Wesleyan's 13. Stahl tied a game-high four ground balls while Flaherty, Carr and
Tori Alexander picking up three each.
Devereaux led SCAD in draw controls with six while Flaherty and Knego nabbed four. Flaherty added three caused turnovers as well.
RANKINGS RELEASED: The second 2017 Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Top 10 Poll was released today and SCAD is remains at No. 1 for the second week in-a-row. Tennessee Wesleyan fell from No. 7 to No. 8.
