Box Score QUICK STORY: The No. 1 ranked SCAD women's lacrosse team defeated Ashbury 23-3 on the road Wednesday evening.
RECORDS: The Bees improve to 5-1 on the season while the Eagles fall to 3-6.
NON-STOP SCORING: SCAD totaled 41 shots to the Eagles' 8 with
Sydney Knego scoring a game-high five goals.
Shannon Flaherty and
Drew Dowgiallo led the team in points with three goals and four assists each.
Taylor Vaccaro totaled three goals and two assists while
Johanna Ehatt added three goals and one assist for five and four points, respectively.
Kirsten Carr and
Jenna Tooley tallied two goals and one assist each while
Emma Devereaux and
Jenna Nabridge scored one goal apiece.
DEFENSE: Maggie Lortz and
Olivia Vieira split time in the cage – Lortz playing 30:16 while Vieira played 29:44. Lortz nabbed the only save of the game and allowed one goal.
OTHER STATS: The Bees totaled 21 draw controls with Devereaux picking up six with Knego and Tooley adding three. SCAD picked up 19 groundballs to Asbury's 14 – Knego and Flaherty led the team with four each while Tooley totaled three.
RANKINGS RELEASED: The fourth 2017 Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Top 10 Poll was released on the 21
st and SCAD remains at No. 1 for the fourth week in-a-row.
